Brandon Bruce

Brandon Bruce Brandon Bruce is the Founder and Executive Director of youthnetwork.org. Starting with the audacious goal of creating a nationwide directory of youth programs, Brandon assembled a team of programmers and a board of directors, designed an innovative technology blueprint, raised the necessary startup capital, and executed the development and launch of the website. Brandon is a driven social entrepreneur with a unique record of achievement. He was selected as one of only forty winners of a global essay competition called the Junior Summit 1995 in which he proposed utilizing nascent internet technologies to address illiteracy worldwide. The next year, he was invited as the youngest speaker to the Information Society and Development G7 conference in South Africa where he called for support of youth projects. Brandon has also delivered speeches at two United Nations conferences in Malta and Ethiopia. He was named a top twenty-five global visionary at the World Telecommunication Development Conference in 1998.

While serving on the Board of Directors of the California Coalition for Youth and simultaneously studying for degrees at business school and law school, Brandon developed the idea for a one-stop directory of community resources for youth. He has added over a million pages to the website, and he recently received a scholarship to attend Global Knowledge conference in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for winning the Global Young Social Entrepreneurs Competition. Brandon possesses a deep commitment to working in the social sector and bringing innovation to communities worldwide. Brandon has a BA from the University of California at Santa Barbara, an MBA from the University of Phoenix, and a JD from Concord Law School.
